My main motivation here is that I'd like to add some unit tests (as opposed to testing everything using QuickCheck properties), but there are other benefits: it's now easier to run a subset of tests -- the command-line interface is more powerful. Also, rename the test-suite to "tests" as it's no longer limited to properties.
xmonad-contrib: Third Party Extensions to the xmonad Window Manager
You need the ghc compiler and xmonad window manager installed in order to use these extensions.

appropriate subdivision of the XMonad namespace (currently includes
Actions, Config, Hooks, Layout, Prompt, and Util). For
example, to use the Grid layout, one would import:
